Standing at the harbor on the Hong Kong Island side looking back toward Kowloon. Our office and apartment is on that side. Update: Due to an urgent need with our family, Michael and I left HK in February/July 2019. We continue to be in close contact with our work in HK, though relocated now to SC.
My name is Vivian. To my scrapping friends, I'm known as China Doll. Welcome to my website where I post scrapbook layouts that I make with the photos I take of family, friends, places and things that catch my eye. I found digital scrapbooking when my faithful Kodak died and I replaced it with a digital. That was back in 2008 and I'm hooked! I miss my paper scrapping, but living and moving around overseas has made it impossible to keep my "stuff".

I am really behind here, but I'm trying to keep the other site at chinadollphotos.weebly.com more up to date. We returned to South Carolina in February and July 2019 to help take care of family matters. Life has a way of changing our direction, even if we don't intend to make changes. Highlights for 2019
Michael and I returned to Hong Kong after our December/January trip to be with family at Christmas and a conference in Oregon. Our own Conference took us back to Thailand in February. Then, I came back to SC the end of February to help with a few family matters.
March 2019 - Michael and I were able to join the group from North Canton on the tour to Israel in March. (More photos coming soon!) These photos have been moved to chinadollphotos.weebly.com/israel-2019-album.html
Highlights from 2018
2018: I've given up on the blog idea -- so here are some of the highlights from 2018. I went back to South Carolina in April/May to check on Mom as her health took a drastic turn. While there I enjoyed time with Beth and the Grands and a little time with my Sister. Mother's Day weekend was very special as Beth and her family went with me to meet up with Andrew&Laura.
August: Andrew and Laura were married in Pittsburgh. Welcome to the family, Laura!
Meanwhile, Mom got very sick again the first of August and I decided to fly back to SC. I didn't get to be with Andrew & Laura, but I was able to spend about 2 weeks with Mom before she slipped away quietly in her sleep on August 20, 2018. We had her funeral service on August 24.
September 2018: Michael joined me so we could be together for another family wedding! Michael's nephew was married in September. We were able to see Andrew and Laura at the wedding.
Christmas in SC 2018: Michael and I were able to go back to SC in December for family Christmas and a conference in Oregon. Celebrating the 55th Christmas at The House!
